The story
yourdesign.co.za is the long tail. Before the quant work and the agent pipelines there were 20+ years of web development, most of it in WordPress and WooCommerce, delivered solo or as a lead developer on agency sub-contracts. The site still positions me as a freelance web developer and still takes client enquiries.
The named work on the site is the heavier end of that period: Nimue Skin Technology (brand build), the Woolworths Mother’s Day gift-carding campaign (via Flume Digital Agency as lead developer), and a longer tail of client work including contributions from Durc (eee.co.za), Pierre Potgieter (Novumintelligence), and Tammy (41Sloane). The stack the site advertises is deliberate: custom child themes, WooCommerce custom functions, advanced custom fields, custom post types, plugin development. Page builders and premium themes are not what goes on a custom build.
The through-line that matters for the rest of this CV is on the 2023 one-page cover letter: “I started my programming journey coding ‘bots’ for a trading company way back in the early 2000s, before embracing the Open Source community developing in PHP MySql.” That loop — trading bots, then two decades of web development, back to trading systems via AI — is why the current Eden Fintech work didn’t feel like a pivot.
